Recently, Hanersun announced the signing of a significant Joint Venture agreement with My Energy, one of the largest energy companies in Pakistan, to develop a total capacity of 500MW solar projects. Valued at a substantial amount, this collaboration marks Hanersun’s further entry into the burgeoning Pakistani market and lays the foundation for deeper development of clean energy solutions.
Pakistan has strong potential for solar power due to its abundant sunshine resource; however cost of conventional power generation from coal and oil has hindered widespread adoption of renewable alternatives. As the CEO of My Energy outlined, this partnership is timely and aims to bolster solar energy provision across key industries while advocating for a transition towards more sustainable options.
According to the agreement, multiple solar projects of 500MW will be developed across the country, with priority given to the steel and agriculture sectors. Plans include establishing distribution networks, dealer networks, warranty and service centers, alongside flagship stores.
Hanersun will contribute its industry-leading solar module products and technologies. The vice president of the company, Sunny Sun, reiterated that this landmark partnership exhibits Hanersun’s expanding leadership in facilitating large-scale clean energy development globally through sustainable cooperation. Hanersun is committed to working closely with My Energy to form a strong competitive advantage through localized manufacturing and customized solutions based on its solar expertise.
Meanwhile, My Energy will provide its extensive experience in Pakistan’s market as well as mature and well-established local networks.
